Cleoid Discoid Carver Fig. 4 Bader The Cleoid Discoid Carver Fig. 4 is a dental instrument used in operative dentistry for sculpture and adjustment of restorative materials, such as amalgam or composite resin, in cavity restoration procedures. Its design combines a cleoid tip (sharp and pointed) and a discoid tip (circular and flat), making it versatile and suitable for modeling and contouring restorations with precision. Recommended use: Sculpture of restorative materials: Allows carving and shaping the restorative material, especially in amalgam restorations. Facilitates the recreation of occlusal grooves and fissures to restore the natural anatomy of the tooth. Adjustment and contouring: With the discoid tip, excess material is removed, achieving a smooth finish adjusted to the tooth contour. The cleoid tip is useful for working in more detailed areas, such as deep grooves or interproximal zones. Removal of excess: Used to remove excess restorative material that may extend outside the prepared cavity. Creation of interproximal contacts: Helps adjust contact points between teeth to ensure proper masticatory function. Characteristics: Material: Stainless steel Sterilizable in autoclave Measurements: 16 cm
