During the presence of people in the room, sterilization takes place inside the device's chamber. When people are outside, the direct lamp is turned on to illuminate the room. Both systems can operate at the same time, which considerably increases the effectiveness of sterilization. RHODE-UVC functions are based on the internal ventilation system. The air entering the sterilizer chamber passes through the ANTY-DUST filter placed near the inlet. Here, larger particles are blocked to prevent contamination of the germicidal lamp reflectors. Then, the air passes directly through a low-pressure mercury lamp, which thanks to UVC rays with a precisely emitted wavelength of 253.7 nm destroys all microorganisms. The high reflection coefficient of the chamber mirrors concentrates the UVC rays, thereby increasing the effectiveness of a radiation interaction. The disinfected and purified air that returns is released through the end nozzle, which completes the effective cleaning process. The greatest advantage of the system is the complete reduction of the threat to people staying inside during operation, since external UVC emissions are reduced to zero.
